The Papua New Guinean Discovery

Between June 2, 2005 and August 7, 2005 I went to Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. It was a time when God confirmed that He wants me there for His work. At the time I am a student at Davis College in New York State studying and preparing to go back to PNG full time.

5 Trustworthy (or Faithful) Statements in the Pastoral Epistles Preached by Mr. Seavey

This is the outline for the message that Mr. Seavey preached in Chapel on Friday. I thought it was an excellent sermon about the "Last Words" that Paul left to Timothy and Titus. Enjoy, but more importantly grow in the Faith and Knowledge of Jesus Christ.

5 Trustworthy (or Faithful) Statements in the Pastoral Epistles

Message by Christopher Seavey Friday, March 24, 2006 Davis College Chapel

  1. 1 Timothy 1.15 “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.” PREACH CHRIST
  2. 1 Timothy 3.1 “This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.” Disciples fulfill their role
  3. 1 Timothy 4.8 “For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.” Discipline for godliness.
  4. 2 Timothy 2.11-13 “This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him,
He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” Endure Hardships.
  5. Titus 3.8 “This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” Good disciples don’t forget to do good works.
