The Papua New Guinean Discovery

Between June 2, 2005 and August 7, 2005 I went to Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. It was a time when God confirmed that He wants me there for His work. At the time I am a student at Davis College in New York State studying and preparing to go back to PNG full time.

February 2005 Prayer Letter

"We talk of the Second Coming; half the world

has never heard of the first." ~Oswald J. Smith

To my Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Greeting to all in the name of our Lord

and Savior Jesus Christ:

I would like to begin this prayer letter by saying thank

you to West Corners Baptist for all the support you have

all ready given me in support for my trip to Papua New

Guinea this summer. On Sunday, January 30, 2005 I had

the honor of being able to do a presentation of my trip this

summer to PNG. The whole evening went extremely well and I want to say thank you for all that attended to hear of my burden for this country and the people there. I would also like to say thank you for the funds that were given on that night to support my trip, they are greatly appreciated. Thank you also for the prayers that are being offered and will be offered in the future. The road to PNG is going to be a long one, but the rewards of seeing souls come to Christ are well worth the journey.

In other news I have created a blog for my trip, which I will put all of my prayer letters and other updates. Feel free to add comments. The address is http://pngdiscovery.blogspot.com/. I will include pictures and an itinerary of speaking engagements. I will be working on this site up until the trip and on returning from PNG, I will include many pictures and stories of how the Lord had worked in my heart and life. Well that is all for this issue of the Papua New Guinean Times. Feel free to contact me via email, postal mail, or phone. The information is below.

I would like to close by quoting Romans 10.14-15, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"” (NKJV).

Have a great day and may the Lord be gracious to you.

In Christ’s love,

Corey J. Adams
